Hot Air Balloon Safari

A Serengeti Hot Air Balloon Safari is often described as the single most breathtaking experience in Africa. As the dawn breaks over the horizon, you take flight in a massive, colorful balloon, rising gently with the sun. From your vantage point in the sky, the vast plains of the Serengeti unfold beneath you in a golden light.

The Silent Flight

Unlike a traditional game drive, the balloon flight is almost entirely silent, interrupted only by the occasional roar of the burners. This stillness allows you to drift low over the canopy of acacia trees and riverine forests, giving you a unique perspective of the wildlife below. You might spot a pride of lions stalking their morning prey, a leopard lounging in a tree, or the massive columns of the Great Migration moving across the plains like a slow-moving river.

A Traditional Celebration

Following a flight of approximately one hour, your pilot will bring the balloon to a gentle landing on the savanna. In keeping with a tradition that dates back to the 1700s, you will celebrate your flight with a glass of chilled champagne. This is followed by a "Bush Breakfast" — a full luxury meal served under the shade of a majestic acacia tree, complete with fine linens and exceptional service.
