Endemics and Specialties

The park is home to several endemic species, including the Grey-breasted Spurfowl and the Fischer's Lovebird. You can expect to see everything from the iconic Secretary Bird and Kori Bustard to massive Martial Eagles and hundreds of Marabou Storks during the migration.

The Migratory Season

While birding is excellent year-round, the arrival of migratory birds from Europe and North Africa between November and April brings the species count to its peak. This is also the time when many resident birds are in their vibrant breeding plumage.
