Seronera Airstrip: The Heart of Serengeti Aviation

Seronera Airstrip (SEU) is the primary aviation gateway to Serengeti National Park. Located in the Central Seronera Valley, it serves as the central hub for fly-in safaris, connecting the park to Arusha, Zanzibar, and Dar es Salaam. Its central location makes it the most convenient landing point for visitors staying in the numerous lodges and camps around the Seronera region.

The airstrip is a hive of activity, especially during the peak safari seasons. It is well-equipped with a small terminal building, washrooms, and a waiting area. From here, travelers are often met by their safari guides in open-sided vehicles, beginning their wildlife adventure the moment they touch down.

Strategic Central Location

Being in the heart of the park, Seronera Airstrip provides immediate access to some of the most reliable year-round game viewing in Africa. The surrounding valley is famous for its high concentration of big cats, particularly leopards and lions, as well as the permanent water source of the Seronera River which attracts a diverse range of wildlife.
