Lobo Public Campsite: Camping with the Granite Giants

Lobo Public Campsite is widely considered one of the most beautiful public camping spots in the Serengeti. Located in the Northern Sector, it is nestled among stunning granite kopjes and provides sweeping views of the Lobo Valley below.

The site is particularly important during the Great Migration's northern and southern movements (July and November). Unlike the central sites, Lobo offers a more rugged and isolated feel, surrounded by ancient rock formations that provide a home for leopards and klipspringers.

Northern Wilderness Facilities

Despite its remote location, Lobo Public Campsite maintains standardized TANAPA facilities, including a secure cooking area and shared washrooms. The proximity to the Lobo springs means that wildlife density around the camp is often high, especially during the dry season.
