A quiet northern airstrip serving the Lobo Valley and the scenic granite hills.

Lobo Airstrip: The Scenic North-East

Lobo Airstrip (LOB) is located in the northeastern sector of the Serengeti, known as the Lobo Valley. This area is famous for its stunning scenery, dominated by ancient granite kopjes and rolling hills. The airstrip provides access to one of the most picturesque regions of the park.

Lobo is a key area for the Great Migration both on its way north to the Mara (around July) and on its return south (around November). The permanent water sources in the valley also make it a reliable spot for resident wildlife year-round, including large prides of lions and herds of buffalo.
